65% Q with 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth and a knob
A 65% aluminum Q with 2.4 GHz (1000 Hz), Bluetooth 5.1, PC plate, double gasket and Gateron Jupiter switches. Wirecutter flags its tall case and keycaps.
A strong wireless 65% for typing and casual gaming, praised by PowerUp! for build and rattle-free stabilizers. The fixed height and tall caps are why Wirecutter passed on it, so plan on a wrist rest.
The Q2 Max is the tri-mode 65% Q: aluminum with a PC plate, double-gasket mount, hot-swap sockets, QMK/VIA, a knob, 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth 5.1 for three devices and wired USB-C. Keychron lists Gateron Jupiter Red, Brown or Banana switches, KSA double-shot PBT keycaps, a 4000 mAh battery rated up to 180 hours, a 121 x 327 mm footprint and 1,528 g.
PowerUp! praised the solid aluminum build, layers of sound-dampening foam and factory-lubed stabilizers with no rattle, and described the 2.4 GHz mode at 1000 Hz as well suited to gaming. Its reviewer noted the board has no adjustable feet and recommended a wrist rest because of the height, and noted a slight but noticeable delay when switching between paired Bluetooth devices. Wirecutter did not pick it for its compact-keyboard guide, citing a tall case with a steep slope that cannot be adjusted, made worse by tall included keycaps.
It is the same recipe as the Q1 Max in a 65% form with less desk space and no function row.
