Our take, based on research

The showpiece 60%. Same performance family as the X60 HE; you pay for the glass light bar and the extra weight.

Overview

The X60 Future is DrunkDeer's showpiece 60%. The maker lists an aluminum-alloy snap-fit frame, a light-transmitting glass wool layer, an aluminum bottom case, 8000 Hz polling, a claimed 0.2 ms latency, hot-swap, a 311.9 x 117.4 x 43.5 mm body and a weight of 1150 g. The maker's page describes a built-in tempered glass light bar; KeenGamer describes a frosted fiberglass panel between top and bottom sections. Switches are DrunkDeer's Qian, or a BeiDou option in the Verdant Gem colorway.

KeenGamer found it dense and tank-like with no creaking, with an aluminum snap-fit frame, a base-plate mount and heavy dampening, and a thocky sound on the louder side. DailyGamingTech praised the weight, build, responsiveness and value, and wrote that the hollow metal case and glass light bar would suit buyers who like a bold look; it also noted the 60% layout and the more aggressive design will not suit everyone. DailyGamingTech described the web-based software as usable but not up to Wooting's level, with Rapid Trigger, DKS and SOCD among the features the maker lists.

Pick it over the X60 HE for the glass light bar, diffused RGB and louder sound; the HE is cheaper and plainer but keeps the aluminum body.

Pros & Cons

Strengths
  • Aluminum frame and bottom case at about 1.15 kg
  • 8000 Hz polling and a maker-claimed 0.2 ms latency
  • Hot-swap, with spare switches and a switch puller in the box (DailyGamingTech)
  • Heavy dampening and a thocky sound (KeenGamer)
  • Distinct design, with a glass light bar and a metal underside cutout
What Could Be Better
  • The look is not for everyone (DailyGamingTech)
  • KeenGamer could not vouch for the durability of the glass and fiberglass parts
  • 60% layout and wired only
  • The web software is not as polished as Wooting's (DailyGamingTech)
  • KeenGamer says the X60 HE has almost the same feature set for less
