Our Verdict

The Air75 V2 is the best low-profile mechanical keyboard available. NuPhy has refined everything that made the V1 good and fixed its shortcomings. If thin and portable is a priority, look no further.

Full Review

Low-profile mechanical keyboards have historically been a compromise. You'd get the thinness but lose the satisfying typing feel that makes mechanical keyboards worth using. The NuPhy Air75 V2 challenges that assumption.

The Gateron Low Profile 2.0 switches are a revelation. Available in Brown (tactile), Red (linear), and Blue (clicky), they provide genuine mechanical feel in a package that's barely thicker than a laptop keyboard. The travel is shorter than standard switches but not so short that it feels like typing on a touchscreen.

Design-wise, it's gorgeous. The floating key design showcases RGB beautifully, and the color options (particularly the Cosmic Blue and Ionic White) stand out in a sea of generic black rectangles. The Mac-first keycap legends are perfect for Apple users, though Windows users aren't forgotten.

Connectivity covers all bases: Bluetooth 5.0 for up to 3 devices, 2.4GHz wireless for lower latency, and USB-C wired. Switching between devices is instant, making it ideal for people juggling work laptops and personal machines.

The included keycaps are excellent—not an afterthought like on many boards. They're textured, the legends are crisp, and they don't develop shine quickly.

For anyone transitioning from a laptop keyboard who wants to maintain that slim profile while upgrading to mechanical, this is the answer.
