The Alice kit
A wired aluminum Alice-layout 65% barebone kit with a PC plate, gasket mount and QMK/VIA. A weighty kit that ThePhonograph rated highly for typing and sound.
A well-reviewed, heavy Alice kit that is easy to recommend if the layout appeals. Plan for the extra cost of switches, keycaps and stabilizer lubing.
The M6 is MonsGeek's Alice-style (split, angled) 65% with 68 keys. It is a barebone kit with a CNC aluminum case, gasket mount, a polycarbonate plate, Poron foams, a 1.2 mm hot-swap PCB for 3-pin and 5-pin switches, south-facing RGB, and QMK/VIA firmware. It is wired with a detachable coiled USB-C cable. Switches and keycaps are not included, and the Akko screw-in stabilizers come unlubed and not pre-installed.
ThePhonograph built one with Akko V3 Pro Cream Black switches and scored it 5/5 for typing, sound and build. It reported a weight just over 2 kg and a footprint closer to a 75% board because of the Alice shape, a clean, clacky-thocky sound with controlled resonance and ping once all the damping layers were used, and an Alice layout that took little adjustment apart from the Win key and reaching Y. Its criticisms were the fixed-height feet, the lack of any wireless, and a design score of 3.5/5 for a plain, business-like look. It also noted the stabilizers needed lubing to be rattle-free.
This is the Alice option in the MonsGeek lineup, not a standard-layout keyboard. If you want the same 65% build in a normal layout, wired or wireless, the M7 and M7W are the equivalents.
