Magnetic-switch full-size with rapid trigger and tri-mode wireless

A 100% Hall-effect board with adjustable actuation, rapid trigger and tri-mode wireless. No independent review turned up, so this rests on Keychron's own specs.

Our take, based on research

On paper this is the full-size V line with magnetic switches and tri-mode wireless. It is under-reviewed and tied to Keychron's own switches, so treat performance claims as unproven until independent reports appear.

Overview

The V6 HE is Keychron's magnetic-switch (Hall-effect) full-size. Keychron's spec table lists an ABS case and a gasket mount (the table lists an aluminum plate, but the page's own copy says PC plate, so the plate material is unclear), plate-mounted stabilizers, OSA double-shot PBT keycaps that are not shine-through, north-facing RGB, QMK and the Launcher web app, 1000Hz over USB-C and 2.4GHz (125Hz over Bluetooth 5.2), and a 4000 mAh battery rated up to 100 hours with the backlight off. It lists 1100 g and 450.04 x 139.47 mm. The switches are Keychron Ultra-fast Lime magnetic switches with rapid trigger and adjustable actuation (the spec table gives 0.10 to 3.35 mm; the page's marketing copy says 0.2 to 3.8 mm and the copy also refers to the Q6 HE in places).

Per Keychron's page, the hot-swap sockets accept only its Ultra-fast Lime magnetic switches. Keeb-finder's comparison with the wired V6 lists the same differences: Hall-effect sensors, rapid trigger, a gasket mount and wireless on the HE, against a wired, tray-mounted V6.

This entry has weak evidence. No independent review of the V6 HE could be opened. Keychron's spec table lists 2.4GHz, Bluetooth and wired, even though the page's product tags still say wired.

Pros & Cons

Strengths
  • Hall-effect magnetic switches with rapid trigger and adjustable actuation, per Keychron
  • Tri-mode: 2.4GHz and wired at 1000Hz, Bluetooth 5.2 at 125Hz
  • Gasket mount and a full-size layout with a numpad
  • QMK with the Launcher web app; 4000 mAh battery rated up to 100 hours (backlight off)
  • Keychron lists 4-in-1 dynamic keystroke actions
What Could Be Better
  • No independent review was found, so performance claims are Keychron's own
  • Hot-swap sockets accept only Keychron's Ultra-fast Lime magnetic switches
  • Plate-mounted stabilizers rather than screw-in (Keychron's spec table)
  • Heavy at 1100 g and keycaps are not shine-through (Keychron)
  • Marketing copy and spec table disagree on actuation range

Who Is This For?

Perfect For
  • Gamers who want rapid trigger on a full-size wireless board
  • Players who need a numpad for MMOs or spreadsheets
  • Buyers happy to rely on the maker's specs
Maybe Not For
  • Anyone who wants to use standard MX switches
  • Buyers who want independent review data
  • People who want a softer, more flexible typing feel than a metal plate gives
