Tri-mode 65% with a gasket mount and optional knob
The wireless V2: 2.4GHz and Bluetooth, a gasket mount, PC plate and Jupiter switches in a 65% layout. Reviewer evidence is thin; the V Max chatter reports are worth knowing.
A logical wireless update to the V2 on paper, with a softer mount and tri-mode connectivity. Independent coverage is thin, so lean on the V1 Max reviews as a guide and buy from a recent batch with a good return window.
The V2 Max keeps the V2's 65% layout and adds wireless connectivity. Keychron's spec page lists an ABS plastic case with a gasket mount and PC plate, Gateron Jupiter hot-swap switches, double-shot OSA PBT keycaps, a knob option, 2.4GHz (1000Hz), Bluetooth 5.1 and wired USB-C, QMK with the Launcher web app, and a 4000 mAh battery rated up to 190 hours with the backlight off. Keychron lists 696 g, around 160 g lighter than the wired V2.
Greenkeys' overview, which compares it with the V2, highlights the 2.4GHz option at 1000Hz and the extra layers of sound-absorbing material, and notes that both USB-C and USB-A receivers are included. The evidence for this board is limited: no full independent review that could be opened for this entry, so the typing feel and sound notes here rest on Keychron's specs and on reviews of its sibling V1 Max, which uses the same gasket-mount platform.
As with the other V Max boards, TechPowerUp reported in July 2025 that owners had described double presses and keys not registering, which Keychron blamed on warped plates and said it had corrected in production. Check the build date and return window if you buy one.
