Wireless 65% Q with extra macro keys and a knob

A 2.4 kg aluminum 65% with four macro keys, a knob, 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth and wired modes. Tom's Guide gave it an Editor's Choice; very expensive and heavy.

65% layout Tri-mode Hot-swap QMK/VIA Knob

Our take, based on research

A well-reviewed wireless 65% with extra keys. Tom's Guide's Editor's Choice backs the build and performance, and the price and weight are the consistent caveats.

Overview

The Q65 Max is the tri-mode 65% Q with an extra column of macro keys and a knob. Keychron lists 2.4 GHz at 1000 Hz, Bluetooth for three devices and wired USB-C, Gateron Jupiter Red, Brown or Banana switches, an aluminum gasket-mounted case with steel plate, double-shot PBT keycaps, a 4000 mAh battery rated up to 180 hours and 2,420 g.

Tom's Guide gave it an Editor's Choice award, calling it extremely sturdy, great for typing and casual gaming and QMK-enabled with a practical 65% layout and four dedicated macro keys; its only listed con was price, and its spec sheet gives 5.33 lb and 1000 Hz polling. XDA Developers praised solid build, the 1000 Hz polling rate, the customizable knob and hot-swap, but said the key placement may take some getting used to and that the price is edging toward enthusiast territory. EnosTech called it a sturdy, well-performing board with everything except a number pad, with pricing as its only con.

It is the heaviest 65% in this group, so it works as a fixed-desk board.
