Wireless HHKB-layout 60% Q with a steel plate
A 1.5 kg aluminum 60% with the HHKB layout, 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth and wired modes, steel plate and Jupiter switches. Trusted Reviews calls it clever but niche and expensive.
A well-built HHKB-layout 60% rated highly by its main reviewer, with price and layout niche as the caveats.
The Q60 Max brings Keychron's Q build to the HHKB layout, which Trusted Reviews says has adorned keyboards for nearly 30 years. Keychron lists 2.4 GHz at 1000 Hz, Bluetooth and wired modes, Gateron Jupiter Red, Brown or Banana switches, a CNC aluminum case with gasket mount and a steel plate, QMK/VIA with the Launcher and a 4000 mAh battery rated up to 100 hours (its spec table gives up to 180 hours with the backlight off). The fully assembled board weighs 1,519.6 g and the barebone version 1,353 g.
Trusted Reviews called it a clever mechanical keyboard with a unique layout, fantastic build quality, a responsive typing feel and versatile customization. It noted a hefty machined case of about 1.5 kg, Cherry-profile PBT keycaps and both Mac and Windows keycaps in the box, and listed a niche appeal and high price as cons.
The layout is the main draw and also what makes the board a niche choice.
