Wireless 8 kHz 80% Q with a 660-hour battery

An 80% TKL aluminum Q with 8000 Hz over 2.4 GHz and wired, Silk POM switches, ZMK firmware and a battery rated up to 660 hours. Tom's Guide notes tall KSA keycaps.

TKL layout Tri-mode Hot-swap ZMK Knob 8K polling

Our take, based on research

A strong wireless TKL on paper and in Tom's Guide's review, with an unusually long battery rating. Tall keycaps, price and ZMK are the caveats.

Overview

The Q3 Ultra 8K is the newest tenkeyless Q in this group. Keychron lists 8000 Hz polling, Bluetooth for three devices plus 2.4 GHz and wired modes, Keychron Silk POM switches in Red, Brown or Banana, a CNC aluminum case with gasket mount and PC plate, KSA double-shot PBT keycaps, a knob, 1,787 g and a 4000 mAh battery rated up to 660 hours. It runs ZMK firmware, configured with the Keychron Launcher web app.

Tom's Guide recommended it, praising smooth switches, a lovely sound, gaming performance, 8K wireless polling and the very long battery rating. It liked the adjustable double gasket for tuning comfort, but flagged the tall KSA keycap profile, which the reviewer found hard with smaller hands, the high price and that it is not sold in the UK.

Keychron's Q Ultra 8K range also includes other layouts, so check the layout label before buying.
