Wireless 65% Q with Gateron magnetic switches

A 65% wireless aluminum Q2 with Gateron Double-Rail magnetic switches, Rapid Trigger and 0.2 to 3.8 mm actuation. It takes only Keychron's own magnetic switches.

65% layout Tri-mode Hot-swap QMK/VIA Knob Hall effect

Our take, based on research

A wireless 65% magnetic board built on a design that reviewers of its siblings rated well. The limited switch support and the lack of its own independent reviews mean it is a researched pick rather than a proven one.

Overview

The Q2 HE is the 65% member of Keychron's wireless Hall effect Q line. Keychron lists Gateron Double-Rail Magnetic Nebula switches with Rapid Trigger, actuation adjustable from 0.2 to 3.8 mm and Dynamic Keystrokes, plus 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth with 1000 Hz polling. It is an aluminum gasket-mounted board with an aluminum plate, a knob and OSA double-shot PBT keycaps, weighing 1,546 g, with a 4000 mAh battery rated up to 115 hours.

Independent coverage of the Q2 HE itself is thin. The closest published reviews are of its siblings: Tom's Hardware and Tom's Guide on the Q1 HE and Audiophile Heaven on the Q4 HE, which all praise the smooth double-rail switches and wireless gaming, and warn that the switch choice is limited. Keychron states the Q2 HE is compatible exclusively with the Gateron Double-Rail Magnetic Switch, not Magnetic Jade or KS-20.

Compared with the wired Q2 HE 8K, this one trades 8 kHz polling for wireless.
