Wireless southpaw 96% Q with 2.4 GHz and a PC plate
A 2.2 kg left-hand-numpad 96% aluminum Q with 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth and wired modes, PC plate and Jupiter switches. No dedicated independent review found.
A spec-led pick for left-handed users who want wireless and mechanical switches. Review evidence comes from the Q12 HE sibling only.
The Q12 Max is the wireless version of the southpaw 96% Q. Keychron lists 2.4 GHz at 1000 Hz, Bluetooth for three devices and wired USB-C, Gateron Jupiter Red, Brown or Banana switches, a CNC aluminum case with gasket mount and PC plate, KSA double-shot PBT keycaps, a knob, a 4000 mAh battery rated up to 180 hours, 145 x 409 mm and 2,195 g.
No review of the Q12 Max itself turned up. PC Guide's Q12 HE review explains where it sits in the family: it is built on a PC plate and has wired, wireless and Bluetooth connectivity, unlike the wired-only steel-plate Q12 and the Hall effect Q12 HE. Digital Chumps, reviewing the Q12 HE, called the southpaw design one of the best options for left-handed users but said it may be a struggle for anyone else.
It is the mechanical-switch, hot-swap choice among the left-handed Q boards.
