K4 Max, from Keychron's store
The K4 Max adds 2.4 GHz at 1000 Hz to the 96% K4 with QMK, PBT keycaps and an ABS body. Reviews of sibling Max boards are positive; no K4 Max review was found.
The dongle-equipped 96% K4. Reasonable pick, though evidence is inferred.
The K4 Max is the dongle-equipped 96%. Keychron lists 2.4 GHz plus Bluetooth for up to three devices plus wired at 1000 Hz, hot-swappable Keychron Super switches (Red, Brown or Banana), an ABS case, double-shot PBT keycaps, 22 RGB effects, a 4000 mAh battery rated up to 190 hours and about 1290 g.
No review of the K4 Max itself could be opened. MakeUseOf's K8 Max review, on the sibling TKL, praised the build and customization but noted the plastic base, and Tom's Guide's K10 Max review, on the full-size sibling, found a firm, damped feel from the steel plate and foam while noting there is no volume knob.
Pick it for the layout and the dongle without paying for Hall-effect or 8 kHz.
