K2 Ultra 8K, from Keychron's store
The K2 Ultra 8K is a 75% with 8000 Hz polling, ZMK firmware, a CNC aluminum and ABS case and a 760-hour battery claim. TechRadar liked the value and found it thick and the stock switch depth a little off.
A value-priced 8 kHz 75%. Check the firmware and thickness first.
The K2 Ultra 8K is Keychron's 8 kHz K2. The page lists a 75% layout, 2.4 GHz plus Bluetooth plus wired, 8000 Hz polling in wireless and wired modes, ZMK firmware with the Launcher web app, hot-swappable Keychron Apex switches (Red, Brown or Banana), a CNC aluminum and ABS case with a steel plate, OSA double-shot PBT keycaps, a 4000 mAh battery rated up to 760 hours, south-facing RGB and a weight of 1084 g.
TechRadar said the aluminum frame feels solid, the double-shot PBT keycaps are good but do not let the backlight through, the red switches were slightly lubed and snappy but actuated a little too deep so some presses did not register, and the board's thickness hurt its wrists without a wrist rest. It judged the K2 Ultra 8K good value against pricier rivals.
It differs from the K2 Max in firmware (ZMK, not QMK/VIA), polling (8 kHz) and battery rating, so QMK/VIA users should read the firmware line before buying.
