K17 Pro, from Keychron's store

The K17 Pro is a slim 96% with a knob and waterfall-shaped keycaps. Crafting Worlds liked the design but found the stock switches unpleasant; the maker lists little data.

96% layout Tri-mode Hot-swap QMK/VIA Knob Low profile

Our take, based on research

A good-looking slim 96% with a single critical review about the switches.

Overview

The K17 Pro is the knob-equipped slim 96%. Keychron lists a 96% layout with a knob, hot-swappable low-profile Gateron switches, an aluminum-and-plastic tray-mount case, low-profile double-shot PBT keycaps and QMK/VIA via the Launcher. The page publishes no weight, battery or dimensions.

Crafting Worlds called it a beautiful keyboard with unique waterfall-shaped keycaps, a handy volume knob, an open structure that reduces debris and excellent customization, but said Keychron's switches were the worst it had used: tactile ones felt muddy and linear Bananas harsh and metallic, with the open design amplifying the sound. It added that the keycap shape means sticking with Keychron's own sets.

Compared with the K17 Max, the Pro adds the knob and drops the dongle.
